Hello and welcome!
I'm Julia Francis, an East Coast photographer based in the wonderful Richmond area. A few fun facts about me is that I have been in Richmond my whole life, and don't plan on moving anywhere anytime soon. I'm dog obsessed, especially my english golden retriever named Zuko (Yes, yes, THE prince Zuko). I am a beach girly, but not sun bathe for 6 hours kind of girly... I will be on a boogie board in the water! I have always been a coffee lover, but recently boba tea has surpassed my love for coffee, which is pretty crazy for me. I've been married for three years to my best friend, and we had our first baby, a little girl, this past May! And above all, I love the Lord and seek to honor Him first and foremost in my business.
What makes me different?
My approach to photography is deeply rooted in the belief that the best moments are the ones happening right now. Whether it's the sweet promise of an engagement or the timeless vows of your wedding, the joyous anticipation of your first child or the celebration of your fifth, the pride of your graduation, or the exciting steps into a new season of life—I want to capture these moments authentically, just as they are. Life is full of joy, happiness, and yes, sometimes a bit of chaos, and I believe there's no "right time" to document your story.
Because of my faith, I also go into every shoot, wedding, proposal or life event with the heart of "this is for the Lord." Because of that, I always try to make every shoot my best work because the Lord deserves my absolute best.
